The 24th BUILDEX Syria International Construction Exhibition, one of the country’s largest and most established construction fairs in the capital city of Damascus, has opened its doors to visitors with a dense participation. Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, the exhibition brings the Syrian market—which is at the center of regional development, reconstruction, and mega-infrastructure projects—together with international investors and industry representatives. Organized by Pyramids Group Fair Organizations, more than 100 leading construction and building sector companies from Türkiye are participating in the fair. Turkish companies operating in the fields of construction materials, heavy industry equipment, electrical systems, heating-cooling technologies, generators, energy solutions, and smart building systems form one of the strongest national participation groups of the fair. According to the information provided by Pyramids Group Fair Organizations, the Turkish Pavilion attracted attention at the fair by reaching one of the highest participation rates among international participants. Turkish companies found the opportunity to establish direct contact with the region's leading procurement delegations, contractors' associations, and public institutions.
A Massive 140,000 Square Meter Organization
Spanning an exhibition area of 140,000 square meters this year, BUILDEX 2026 brings together international manufacturers, the region's main contractors, investors, and decision-makers on the same platform. Thanks to the B2B business meetings held within the scope of the fair, participants are conducting meetings for new collaborations, joint ventures, and commercial agreements. According to the fair data, there are over 700 elite exhibitors in the organization, while more than 1,400 national and international brands are showcasing their products and technologies. At the fair, which is expected to be visited by over 130,000 professional visitors, all components of the construction sector, from construction chemicals to construction machinery, from the marble sector to renewable energy systems, meet under one roof.
High-Level Public and Diplomatic Attendance
The opening of the 24th BUILDEX Syria Exhibition was held with the participation of 8 ministers from the regional government, the Governor of Damascus, representatives of diplomatic missions, and high-level delegations from various chambers of commerce and industry. In addition to this, delegations from the Chamber of Engineers and Contractors' Association coming from 9 different countries also took part in the fair, finding the opportunity to examine new generation engineering solutions, building technologies, and innovative applications for infrastructure projects.
Participation from 51 Countries
According to the statement of the organizing committee, a total of 51 countries participated in BUILDEX 2026, including Türkiye, as well as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, the United States, India, Kuwait, Lebanon, Germany, Greece, Austria, Libya, Denmark, Iraq, Algeria, and Switzerland. Authorities stated that the fair is not only a product display area, but has also become an important platform where regional infrastructure investments, reconstruction projects, and international trade relations are shaped.

In the statement made by the Fair Organizing Committee, it was emphasized that BUILDEX has been one of the most important meeting points of regional trade for nearly a quarter of a century, and the following statements were used: "The number of exhibitors and visitors reached this year has once again demonstrated the importance of the market for international investors. Participants from 51 countries have transformed BUILDEX 2026 from being just a fair into an international trade center where the future of regional infrastructure projects and mega-investments is shaped. Turkish companies, on the other hand, are among the most important actors of this transformation with their quality, production power, and weight in the market."
The Pulse of the Industry Beats in Damascus for Four Days
During the fair, which will continue until June 14, product launches of worldwide brands will be held, live construction machinery demonstrations will be organized, and panels on sustainable urbanization, energy efficiency, and modern building technologies will be conducted. Experts evaluate that BUILDEX 2026 will contribute to Syria's reconstruction process, provide new commercial opportunities for international companies, especially Turkish companies, and strengthen regional economic cooperation.
